Juliet Gellatley, Viva!

Juliet Gellatley, founder and director of vegan charity Viva!, began her advocacy as the Vegetarian Society’s first youth campaigner. In 1994, she launched Viva!, Europe’s largest vegan campaigning charity. Juliet spearheads campaigns exposing animal farming’s cruelty and its impact on health and the environment. Notable efforts include ending kangaroo culls in Australia and collapsing the ostrich meat trade in the UK. She authored reports, produced documentaries like “HOGWOOD,” and initiated health campaigns promoting veganism. Juliet’s work has earned her numerous awards, including recognition from the Daily Mirror and Cosmopolitan.
